Every time we have been there it has been amazing! The sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking. All and Lisa are great caretakers of the grounds and the cabins.
We've been coming for over 30 years. Everytime we come we are in awe of nature's beauty. Lots to do, and great not to do have to do anything. Lots of great hiking, fishing, and dining options near by. We love Rustic Inn, south of Lutsen, mirangue (sp?) crust pies are out of this world.
Ours is a private resort owned by local 653. Only current and retired union members can stay. Al and lisa are the caretakers hats off to you the cabins are spotless. Only about 100ft from lake superior. Members only pay about a $100. A note for 2 bedroom. Same at other resorts $450. To $500. A nite. If you are a union member check the website of info.
Cozy, clean cabins right on Lake Superior! 25 minutes to Grand Marais and 40 min to Silver Bay. Right down the hill from Lutsen Mountains!
Care taker is a grumpy grouch. Also you have to clean everything before leaving otherwise a really fun spot. There's card games in each cabin plus horse shoe outside along cabin #6.
Great resort and I am on my 3rd visit right now. Beautifully located overlooking the greatest of the great lakes and right on the water. Full log cabins and peaceful. They have fire pits, full kitchens, and barbeques to allow you the better things in life like cooking and eating with family and friends. The area is great for mountain biking, hiking, mushroom hunting, fishing, and even tourist shopping. Whether you need a relaxing time or want to get busy and have fun you can stop here and get it going.
